Empowering Women

The ultimate aim of Sakhi is to empower women through improving their status and equipping them to be leaders and actors in the various milieus of life. It is to assist women in making life choices and claiming their entitlements.

All the various activities like capacity building programmes, leadership development, gender trainings, workshops, courses, and programmes are geared towards this. Sakhi undertakes advocacy and campaigns in partnership with stakeholders including likeminded organisations, civil society representatives, youth, and women.

Through publications in local language (Malayalam), posters, booklets and use of visual media, we disseminate information and enable the marginalised women with awareness and action for rights.
